Mei established the renowned Chinese apparel company Ribo Fashion Group in 1997, which became the first listed company in the fashion sector of China’s main board market.

Devoted to philanthropy, Mei established the Rici Foundation in China in 2013, focused on supporting the mental health of children and adolescents. Over the past decade, the foundation has benefited over 850 thousand children. In 2018, Mei founded the Golden Angel Foundation in Scotland, dedicated to fostering cultural exchange between the East and West and advocating for world peace.
